Geyser Horizontal was one of the most spectacular geysers in the Valley until 2014. It was located on the left bank of Geysernaya River, 40 m upstream from the Zhemchuzhny Geyser and was not visible from the trails. The geyser was first noticed and named by Ustinova (1954). The water and steam shot at an angle of 45 degrees for a distance of up to 10 m, spilling over the Geysernaya River to the opposite bank. The eruption lasted for about 1 minute. The geyser's cycle was very stable and repeated every 1.5 hours. In 2014, the Horizontal Geyser was partially covered by a mudflow and currently operates as a boiling spring.
