Konus (Cone) is a geyser of a conical shape, located on the left bank of the Geysernaya River, a little bit upstream from the Bolshaya Pechka geyser. “Geyser Konus is distinguished by the beauty of the boiling fountain and the geyserite structure” (Sugrobov et al., 2009). It was first described by T.I. Ustinova (1955): “The opening of the griffin, 30x25 cm in size, is located at the top of the cone 1.5 m high. The channel goes under the slope at an angle of 70°. During the eruption, a steam-water mixture is ejected to a height of up to 2 m for 1.5-2 minutes. After the eruption, the water bubbles inside the channel; it gradually (within 15-19 minutes) fills the griffin". The geyser Konus regime has been very stable for more than 60 years: period of 20-25 min, eruption duration of 1.5-2 min, eruption height of 1-2 m. Only during the Elsa cyclone in October 1981 was a sharp decrease in the Konus geyser period noted to 18 min over 4 days (Sugrobova, 1985). In June 2007, the geyser was buried under the landslide and mudflow deposits.
