The pulsating spring Novy (New) Fontain is located 2 meters to the right of the geyser Fountain (if viewed from the river). It was discovered by S.I. Naboko and I.I. Gushchenko in August 1951 and classified as a geyser (Naboko, 1954). The nearby geyser Fountain had been known for 10 years, which is why New Fontain got its name. At the end of September of the same year, it was observed by T.I. Ustinova and G.A. Gonsovskaya (Ustinova, 1955). The regime of New Fontain is irregular: for example, 39 minutes of eruption and 9 minutes of rest (Sugrobov et al., 2009), or 2 hours of eruption and 10 minutes of rest (Semenov, 1973). During an eruption, boiling water shoots up to 3 m high. The New Fountain is located in a safe place and is not subject to natural disasters.
