Description
The boiling spring Shutnik (Joker) was located on the left bank of the Vodopadny Creek. Its 1.2 m high cone, covered with geyserite, rose from the creek bed and was known for its ability to erupt unexpectedly in response to external influences - washing or simply taking water from the griffin. "In the griffin, about 0.5 m in diameter and about 1 m deep, water was boiling all the time. Individual splashes rose to a height of 40 cm, throwing water over the edges of the funnel. If at this moment an object was placed in the griffin, a fountaining of 0.5-1 m in height and lasting about 1 minute suddenly began across the entire surface of the funnel" (Sugrobov et al., 2009). In 2007, it was buried under the deposits of a powerful landslide (Leonov, 2017).
