Boiling spring Verkhny (Upper) is located in the upper part of the Geysernaya River, on its right bank, 5 m above the water level. It was first described in 1961 as a geyser with a working period of 16.5 minutes, of which 8 minutes were spent in eruption (Vinogradov, 1964). After the collapse of 2014, Verkhniy operates in the mode of a pulsating boiling spring. A fountain of boiling water constantly erupts to a height of more than 1 meter, and steam rises tens of meters and is clearly visible from a distance.
