Description
The boiling pulsating spring Vanna (Bath) is located among the mud pots. Its griffin is in the hot lake (size 5 x 2 m and depth 1 m). Its first descriptions were made by T. I. Ustinova (1946): “The geyser Vanna steams calmly, the water temperature in it is 94.5 degrees. Then the water level begins to rise slowly. When the pool is completely filled, the water swells up in a mound above the outlet of the channel and pours over the edge in the part opposite the channel. At this time, the outlet of the channel becomes higher than the water level and water bursts out from there with a splash. Such splashes and outpourings usually occur several times. Then the water level begins to slowly rise. The spring does not have a specific regime. Splashes with outpourings take a minute. The intervals between such eruptions-outpourings are from 1 to 6 minutes, usually 2-3 minutes. In 1945 we observed 38 outpourings." Vanna is not a geyser, since its mode is not regular; it is a pulsating source. Observations by A.V. Leonov, 2011: "Approximately once every 1–2 minutes, one or more splashes of water to a height of 1–2 m occur." Observations by Belousovs, October 2015: "The spring does not erupt, since a stream of cold water flows inside it  due to a strong cyclone"; 2024: "irregular splashes, dormant period from 30 seconds to 5 minutes."
