(11) Volcanic Activity Summary: | The activity of Chirinkotan volcano decreased: an ash plume for 126 km of distance was noted on 23 August, 2021, last time. But activity of the volcano, possibly, will continue. KVERT continues to monitor Chirinkotan volcano. A moderate activity of the volcano probably continues. Ash explosions up to 8-10 km (26,200-32,800 ft) a.s.l. could occur at any time. Ongoing activity could affect international and low-flying aircraft. |
