Description
Prevo Peak forms a very regular isolated truncated cone. The cone appeared at the eastern foot of the Oleniy ridge, its lavas and pyroclastic products spread along the Pacific coast for 11 km and along the coast of the Sea of Okhotsk for 4 km. The crater of the volcano measuring 450 x 660 m is somewhat elongated in the latitudinal direction. Its ridge in the south is lowered, and in the northeast reaches its highest mark of 1360 m. In the crater there is a small closed inner cone in the form of a low annular shaft, folded with pyroclastic material. At its top there is a deep funnel-shaped crater with a diameter of 350 m, passing below into a steep well with a diameter of about 200 m. In the vertical walls of the well, alternating layers of lava and pyroclastic material are visible, and at its bottom there is a small crater lake. The upper part of the cone is covered with a cloak of slag, from under which scallops of lava flows protrude. In the lower part of the slopes, lava flows appear more distinctly and in places, especially in the southern part, have a very fresh appearance, the length of the lava flows reaches 4-5 km. In the western part of the foot of the volcano, there are two small side cones with heavily overgrown lava flows a few more than 1 km long. Lava and pyroclastics of Peak Prevo is basalts.

Potencial Hazard
Ash clouds, ash falls, hot avalanches and lahars are a potential hazard associated with explosive eruptions of this volcano. The volcano poses a potential hazard to international and local airlines passing in the Kuriles region, since the height of its ash emissions can reach 10 km above sea level, ash plumes and clouds can drift hundreds of kilometers from the volcano in different directions. In addition, the outflow of lava flows onto the slopes of the volcano and the surrounding area is possibly.
