Location: The volcano is associated with the Eastern volcanic belt and is located about 13 km south of Kronotsky lake, in 200 km from Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky.

Description

A complex volcanic edifice, consisting of two merged cones, is located in an ancient caldera with a diameter of 9 km. The southern cone (1856 m) has a summit crater 800 m in diameter. The younger Northern cone (1760 m) has a telescopic structure: two nested cones are located in the center of the 2 km diameter caldera. The height of the smallest of them is 150 m, the diameter of its crater is 60 m.

Possible therminal eruptions and lateral on the volcanic slopes or at the southern part of caldera. Potential hazards are ash plumes, ash falls, pyroclastic and lava flows and lahars.
